7 hidden features in the Fuji X100VI to make your life easier

[ad_1]

The Fujifilm X100VI (buy here) is undoubtedly the most-hyped camera so far this year. Pre-orders were backed up for weeks before shipping even started, and the few shops that have them still only have a very limited supply.

It’s for good reason, though. It’s a decent camera with a great set of features. In this video, Chris Lee at Pal2tech shows us seven features of the X100VI that you might not have even noticed were there.

Fujifilm X100VI reveals its secrets

While the features discussed in the video above aren’t necessarily unique to the X100VI, or even Fujifilm as a brand, they can be difficult to find. Every company seems to do things just a little bit differently, so getting into those hard-to-reach features can be a challenge.

Chris walks us through seven features of the Fuji X100VI that you might not have known it had. Or, if you did know, you may not know how to access them.

00:24 – Fast SD Card Format

00:44 – Use The Fill Flash

01:22 – Framing Outline

02:45 – Simplify Your VIEW MODE Setting!

03:56 – Enable RGB Histogram

04:54 – Speed Up Photo Transfer To Fuji App

06:03 – Set HDMI Playback Aspect Ratio

The fast SD card format is something I’ve had on my Nikons since the original Nikon D100 back in 2002. Being able to quickly and easily format your memory cards at the touch of a button – ok, technically, two touches of two buttons – is a lot more convenient than I ever expected. I certainly miss it on cameras that don’t have it.

Chris also includes a bonus feature at the 2:06 mark, going over the X100VI’s “Digital Teleconverter” feature. It’s easy to accidentally enable it, and the vast majority of the time, it’s not a feature you really want. All it does is crop and zoom, and you can do that in post – arguably with better quality, thanks to tools like Topaz Labs Photo AI.

Of course, the features mentioned above also apply to the Fuji X100VI 90th Anniversary Limited Edition model, too. And if you still can’t get your hands on either of them, don’t worry. There are still plenty of other fuji cameras for sale, too.
