Instagram’s Flipside: Game Changer In Terms Of Privacy Or An Extention Of Posting To Close Friends?

[ad_1]

Instagram allows users to connect and bond with each other by sharing photos and engaging with others’ posts. However, in day-to-day usage, people often follow or get followed by users they don’t really know. In such a situation, it becomes awkward to post on the platform. And even though there’s a feature that enables users to post with their close friends, Meta is working on something new called “Flipside.”

Flipside Or Post To Close Friends?

Meta is working on a private section for sharing photos and videos with select followers on Instagram. The feature is called Flipside, and consultant Matt Navarra spotted it in action.

It will enable users to create a private feed that won’t be visible to everyone. Essentially, Flipside enables users to create a separate space for photos or videos that users might not want to post on their publicly available feed.

Currently, users post to close friends or switch to a private account to restrict their viewership. However, Flipside should solve this issue by allowing users to keep their accounts public while making certain posts accessible to a select group.

Hence, the feature will enable users to keep their profiles public while keeping some parts private. However, that is the extent of information on Instagram’s purported Flipside feature.
