Upcoming smartphones launching in February 2024

The first month of 2024 aka January 2024 saw three-four major smartphone launches. These include Samsung Galaxy S24 Series, OnePlus 12 and 12R, Redmi Note 13 Series, and Realme 12 Pro Series. February 2024 is all set to heat up with launches from brands like iqoo, Honor, and Nothing. Most of these devices are mid-rangers. Realme’s 12 Pro Series will also go on sale in February 2024. The smartphones launching in February 2024 in India include the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, Nothing Phone 2a, Honor X9b, and more. Let us have a look at what the month of February entails for us.

Upcoming smartphones launching in February 2024

1. iQOO Neo 9 Pro

Launch date- 22nd February 2024

iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G will launch in India on 22nd February 2024. This smartphone is said to be a rebrand of the Neo 9 device that launched in China earlier. It comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset along with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. In India, Neo 7 Pro was priced at Rs. 34,999 so Neo 9 Pro might be priced slightly higher between 35-40,000 INR. Which variants will be launched is unclear at the moment.

iQOO Neo 9 Pro sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate. There is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of the camera, there will be a 50MP Primary Sony IMX920 sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide sensor at the back. Under the hood will be a 5160mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging capability.

Most of the features are similar to the OnePlus 12R, which launched in India a few days ago. The budget is also expected to be similar.

2. Honor X9b

Launch Date- 15 February 2024

After launching Honor 90 last year, HTech is all set to launch Honor X9b in India. Recently, Madhav Sheth teased the launch of Honor X9b and asked the fans to predict the exact launch date. Reliable tipster Paras Guglani shared a poster according to which Honor will launch its new phone on the 8th or 9th of February but later it came out to be the 15th of February. Also, he claimed that Honor Choice Buds will also be launched alongside this X9b and both together might cost Rs. 35,000. Without buds and discount offers, the smartphone will cost between 25-30,000.

Talking about specs, Honor X9b launched globally last year so we already know about its features. Honor X9b is expected to arrive in India with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There will be a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits brightness. In terms of the camera, there will be a 108MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor at the back. At the front will be a 16MP selfie camera and under the hood will be a massive 5800mAh battery with 35W wired fast charging capability.

3. Nothing Phone 2a

Nothing Phone 2a has been rumored for a long time, however on the occasion of New Year, Carl Pei teased Nothing 2a thus confirming that the device will come to India soon. According to reports, Nothing 2a will launch globally during MWC 2024.

As for specs, Nothing 2a will feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel, MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, 8+128GB storage, and more. The handset will include a dual camera setup at the back and there will be a glyph interface design around the 4 sides of the camera module. It will run Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 out of the box.

4. Realme Note 50

The Note Series by Realme will have its first launch in February 2024. It has already been launched in the Philippines and features a design similar to Realme C53. In the Philippines, the smartphone costs 3599 Philippine pesos which is INR 5400. In India as well, the device will cost along similar lines.

Realme Note 50 features a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Unisoc T612 chipset with Mali G57 MP1 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage. The storage can be increased using a microSD card. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5000mAh battery, and 5MP selfie sensor as well. At the back will be a 13MP primary and a black and white sensor with LED flash.

5. Infinix Hot 40i

Infinix Hot 40i is expected to arrive in India in the first half of February 2024. The smartphone will be available via Flipkart and is expected to arrive in 2 models GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The global version is currently available in a few markets and the price is expected to be somewhere between 15 to 20,000 INR. Infinix Hot 40i comes in Palm Blue, Starlit Black, Starfall Green, and Horizon Gold shades.

Infinix Hot 40i will be powered by MediaTek Helio G88 chipset and run Android 13 out of the box. The display will be a 6.56-inch HD+ 90Hz panel with 480 nits brightness. In the camera department, there will be a 50MP main, an AI-based lens at the back, and a 32MP sensor at the front. Under the hood will be a 5000mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging.

6. Lava Yuva 3

Lava launched its budget smartphone, Lava Yuva 3 in India yesterday (2nd February 2024). It comes in 2 storage configurations- 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB with a price starting at Rs. 6799. Yuva 3 comes in Eclipse black, Cosmic Lavender, and Galaxy White shades.

Lava Yuva 3 is powered by a Unisoc T606 octa-core chipset with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The device has a 6.5-inch HD+ punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate and runs Android 13 out of the box. Under the hood is a 5000mAh battery with 18W wired charging and at the back is a triple lens setup including a 13MP main sensor. At the front is a 5MP front camera.

7. Realme 12 Pro Series

The Realme 12 Pro series launched in India on January 29th but the phones will go on sale on February 1st week. The Realme 12 Pro Series includes Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G smartphones. Both devices have a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphones have a 5000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging. Realme 12 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset while Realme 12 Pro+ comes with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. For detailed specs, click here.
