Apple Podcast Bug Prevents New Episodes From Showing Up in Libraries

[ad_1]

If you’ve been having trouble finding the newest episodes of your favorite podcasts on Apple Podcasts, you’re not alone. A bug with Apple Podcasts is reportedly preventing the latest episodes of a podcast from showing up in a user’s library. These episodes are also not being automatically downloaded nor do they appear in the Up Next tab.According to 9to5Mac, you can get around the issue by searching for the episode you want in the search tab, but you’ll need to know the podcast has put out a new episode to do that. The bug is one Apple is likely to fix rather quickly. But if you’re hoping to catch up on your favorite shows this weekend, you might need to search for the latest episode in order to tune in rather than counting on them to show up in your queue.

Last month, Apple announced plans to bring automated transcripts to Apple Podcasts in iOS 17.4. The update, which is expected next month, will automatically create transcripts for podcasts shortly after their release. When a transcript is available, the Podcast app will highlight each word as it’s spoken to help listeners follow along. Transcripts will also be searchable.
