In our review of the ScanSnap iX1600, our expert notes that it’s a relatively fast scanning tool that can easily go through 40 pages per minute for you. We also gave it an “Excellent” rating.
The Brother DCP-L5650DN is a great printer that’s big enough to be perfectly suited for an office but will do just as great in your own home. This is a monochrome laser copier that can push out 42 pages per minute. Sure, you may not need that much, but just imagine how fast your printing jobs will get done. If you need a color laser printer, we reviewed the Brother MFC-L3780CDW a few months ago and found it to be outstanding.

If you’re sick of relying on ink cartridges, then the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 is going to be your favorite thing ever. This printer features high-capacity ink tanks instead so you can easily refill them, saving you tons of money on replacement ink. The tanks have enough ink in them to print up to 4,500 pages in black and 7,500 pages in color, which is a lot even if you have multiple kids always demanding you print them pictures off the internet. While we didn’t review this particular mode, we did test out the EcoTank ET-8500 some years ago and enjoyed it quite a bit.
