Samsung Galaxy C55 runs Geekbench, powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1

It has been a few months since we first started seeing rumors about a Samsung Galaxy C55 and the phone still isn’t official. So the leaks continue. The C55 appeared in the Geekbench database, showing that it is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

And if you’ve been following Samsung’s launches recently, you will know that the Galaxy M55 also uses that chip. In the C55, it will be configured with 8GB of RAM as seen in the Geekbench scorecard and the Google Play Console (the M55 also has a 12GB variant). The phone was running Android 14, likely with One UI 6.1 on top.

Samsung Galaxy C55 (SM-C5560) runs Geekbench 6.2.2

According to details from TENAA, the C55 will have a 6.67” OLED display (FHD+) with a 13MP selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint reader, plus a 50+8+2MP camera on the back and a 5,000mAh battery inside.

This all reads very much like the M55, save for the selfie camera – the M55 stands out with a 50MP sensor on the front. The M55 also has 45W charging, previously unseen in the Galaxy series outside of the S flagships (and then not all of them). We haven’t seen charging details for the C55 yet, but it might be limited to 25W to keep the two models separate.

There’s another related model, the Galaxy F55. This one should be a regional variation of either the Galaxy M55 or C55 – possibly the C55, since the Bluetooth SIG lists them on the same page. Anyway, TENAA also posted photos of the Galaxy C55, but the design is essentially the same as other Samsungs.

After all these leaks, there still isn’t an official confirmation on the Galaxy C55 from Samsung and no word on when it might be made official.
