As a long time Beauty and the Beast fan girl I’m super excited about the Beauty and the Beast x Colourpop Makeup Collection that will be available on April 18th at colourpop.com! Before we go forward we should probably head back because this isn’t the first time Beauty and the Beast has popped into our makeup lives! We’ve had a few over the years but possibly my most favorite was the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Collection! It featured a few great pieces like the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipstick Collection, Lorac Beauty and the Beast Eyeshadow Palette, and many other sets and palettes! That was back when Lorac was such a popular brand due to their Unzipped Eyeshadow Palettes that everyone loved so dearly! If we go even further back we hit on the Sephora Reigning Beauty Mirror Collection! Who remembers that? Sephora created a few different Disney Collections which included an Ariel Makeup Collection, Jasmine Collection, and others but never did get around to doing a Belle Collection. However, they released a collection of six compact mirrors and and Belle was included in that launch! If we go back even further we had an E.L.F. Beauty and the Beast Makeup Collection! That was when E.L.F. was running through all the Disney Princess and Villians and doing collections for each one! One brand that never got involved with Belle though was MAC Cosmetics and it felt like such a missed opportunity to create something beautiful especially with Emma Watson starring in the live action version of the movie. Costa Riche Eyeliner (if you don’t own it immediately buy it) seemed like such a shade Belle would wear!
Anyway, Beauty and the Beast has run through the makeup world before Colourpop decided to take it! But I digress, let’s chat this Beauty and the Beast X Colourpop Collection. When does the Beauty and the Beast X Colourpop release and how much will it be? It launches tomorrow, April 18th! I’m sure it’ll sell out too and later on it’ll be restocked. But don’t worry, I’ve noticed that Colourpop Collections don’t sell out as fast as they used to so you’ll have plenty of time to shop before it disappears.
So, I’m excited about this launch because I’ve always loved Beauty and the Beast plus I relate to Belle as a book nerd plus we sorta share the same name which has made her one of my fav Disney Princesses. That being said, after seeing the collection I probably won’t grab all of it. The Colourpop Beauty and the Beast Eyeshadow Palette ($22) is probably the most appealing item with beautiful shades inspired by Belle’s ballgown! Blues, golds, yellows, it’s a pretty palette. The rest of the collection I’m on the fence about.
