It’s undeniable that Apple prices can be, well, too damned high. This is especially the case when they deliver brand new, must-have hardware (like a MacBook) for the hardcore fans. So whenever we see a deal drop that that’s just a little bit easier on the wallet, we need to shout it from the rooftops. Case in point: the new 2024 MacBook Air with the ultra-fast M3 processor just got a surprisingly deep discount at Amazon, the best we’ve seen so far.
The MacBook Air is the slimline laptop, originally built without an optical drive to save space and, in a world where that’s basically standard procedure, prioritizing high-end components and absurdly light weight. The 2024 model continues Apple’s use of bespoke silicon, with the M3 processor being the company’s first three nanometer silicon and incorporating a GPU that supports real-time ray tracing, mesh shading, dynamic caching and more. Apple also says that it was engineered to support AI operations, because everything does these days.In our review, we gave the 2024 MacBook Air an Editors’ Choice award and an “Excellent” rating saying that it “does more and does it better than ever before—with some boosted gaming chops for good measure.” Even though it’s barely an inch thick, it still boasts some of the most impressive battery life we’ve seen, with 18 hours of use on a single charge. This is the bigger-screen version of the portable, with a bright and crisp Liquid Retina display that outputs a billion different colors. An array of six Spatial Audio speakers gives it great audio output as well.

For some amazing reason, Amazon is offering the 2024 MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD on a double discount, with 8% off retail as the listed price and then a $49.01 coupon bringing it down to a paltry $1150. That’s as cheap as we’ve ever seen it, so if you’re a Mac fanatic and want a laptop upgrade, grab this one fast. And remember to use that coupon. Don’t forget to check out these deals on other MacBook models too.
