HTC U24 Pro surfaces in the Google Play Console, coming soon

[ad_1]

Few people think about HTC anymore, but it was one of the original Android smartphone makers, and it’s still around – if barely. Last year in May, it launched the U23 Pro, and it looks like it’s now readying a successor for that device, which will most likely end up being called U24 Pro (as the number in these names seems to indicate the year of release a la Samsung’s S series recently).

The HTC U24 Pro has been listed in the Google Play Console, a move which usually signifies an official launch is coming in the next few weeks. It was also spotted in the Geekbench online database a few days ago, and it has already been certified by the Bluetooth SIG.

The HTC U24 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, and it will come with 12GB of RAM in one variant (more could be offered as well). Its screen will have 1080×2436 resolution, with 480ppi pixel density. It will of course run Android 14 from day one.

The Play Console listing has one image of the phone as usual (though sometimes these are just placeholders and don’t depict the actual device), and this shows a curved screen with a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera. The power and volume buttons are on the right side. The recent Bluetooth certification revealed that it supports version 5.3 of the standard.

Those are all the details about it which have been outed so far, but if it is to launch in May like its predecessor, then undoubtedly more leaks and rumors will follow shortly, so stay tuned.
