The AIrTag has been relatively the same since its launch three years ago. However, that soon might change. Apple is reportedly working on a new version of the popular tracker.Code named B589, the new version of the tracker is reportedly already in testing with manufacturing partners in Asia and is on-track to launch around the middle of the year, according to Bloomberg.When it does launch, the newest version of the AirTag is expected to have improved chip that is able to provide improved location tracking.The current version of the AirTag has been credited with helping to track down everything from missing luggage to stolen cars.

Late last year, Washington D.C. announced plans to distribute AirTags to residents in some neighborhoods as a way to make it easier for officers to track down stolen vehicles.
