Get ready for another Steam Deck-like product. GPU vendor Zotac says it’ll reveal its own PC gaming handheld, dubbed the Zone, at next week’s Computex trade show in Taipei. The company today dropped a teaser image. Although draped in shadows, the device looks awfully similar to Valve’s Steam Deck and all the other gaming handhelds on the market. In a blog post, Zotac says the device is “its first attempt at creating a unique Handheld Gaming PC with advanced controls and features.” The goal is to let gamers “enjoy their favorite games on the go like never before with maximum competitive advantage.”To stand out from competitors, Zotac says the Zone handheld will feature “top-end specs,” including a 7-inch AMOLED multi-touch screen with a high refresh rate. (The latest Steam Deck model uses a 7.4-inch HDR OLED display with an up to 90Hz refresh rate.) “We have made considerable efforts to raise the bar with our debut handheld, tailor-made with competitive features for all gamers,” says Zotac CEO Tony Wong.

At Computex, the company plans to debut functional prototypes, so stay tuned for our coverage. However, Zotac won’t be the only company showing off a new gaming handheld in the coming days. Asus is also preparing an updated version of its own gaming handheld; the Asus ROG Ally X has been redesigned with more battery life and other enhancements. Look for it on June 2.PC component maker Antec is also expected to unveil its own PC gaming handheld at Computex. However, it’ll reportedly adopt a more radical design featuring a built-in physical keyboard.
