Rugged smartphone, tablet, and laptop manufacturer Getac has launched the world’s first AI-ready S510 rugged laptop. The rugged machine aimed to offer AI features across industries such as manufacturing, automotive, defense, utilities, and public safety. Let’s delve into the details.
Getac S510 features a 15.6-inch LCD display with 1000 nits of peak brightness and Getac sunlight readable technology for optimal versatility in different light conditions. The S510 chassis is made up of high-quality MIL-STD-810H materials, making it sturdy and durable. It can easily withstand 3ft drop and vibration resistance. Getac also added an IP53 water and dust resistance protection to the S510. This means you can work in wet weather conditions without worrying about damage.
Despite the high-quality rugged materials, the S510 weighs just 2.35kg, making it easy to carry on the go. It is even lighter than most of the gaming laptops available on the market.
The S510 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5/7 processor paired with an integrated Intel graphics chip and Intel AI Boost. It packs up to 64GB of RAM (8GB standard variant) and up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage (256GB standard variant). It has a 6,600mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
As for ports, you get a bunch of ports including Thunderbolt 4, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1, DC jack, a 3.5mm audio output, HDMI, and RJ45. The machine also offers robust connectivity options including WiFI 6E, Bluetooth v5.3, and optional 4G-LTE, 5G capabilities.
Getac offers dozens of customization options for the S510 from adding a laser barcode reader to maximizing RAM, storage, DVD super multi drive, and a dedicated Nvidia 1650 GPU with 4GB VRAM.
