Cybertruck owners who were eagerly awaiting the delivery of their vehicle this week are being told they’re going to have to wait a bit longer.Members of the Cybertruck Owners Club forum as well as Reddit users are reporting that Tesla has halted new deliveries for at least a week due to a safety issue that was discovered with the vehicle’s windshield wiper motor, Engadget reports.One user, Cnod, on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, commented:“I picked up on Tuesday in Florida and left and made it 20 miles and it started pouring rain. Had to sit in a Dunkin Donuts for 3.5 hours and call Tesla roadside assistance because i couldn’t see. They took it to the SC and said it would be a few weeks before the wiper motor could be replaced. Once the rain passed, i took the CT and added some Rainx for now. But it was super dangerous…had to open my window and hang out the window to see until i could get to a safe place with the wiper not working.”Another user, jpen, said:”Same experience with VIN 9xxx, mine has not worked at all. Went back and forth with Tesla for several weeks waiting for them to get the part and now have a service appointment on 24th. They never said specifically, but assuming they are replacing the motor. All I told them was it was not working and they seemed to know what they needed to do, so a recall or more widespread service issue is not surprising.”

Tesla hasn’t publicly confirmed any issues with the wipers, nor has it issued a recall.The Cybertruck was, however, recalled due to an issue with the vehicle’s accelerator pedal. That issue paused deliveries briefly and impacted 3,878 Cybertruck EVs.
