Killed your Nikon Z6 III already? Nikon’s released a repair manual for you

[ad_1]

The Nikon Z6 III ($1,596.95) was only announced a couple of weeks ago, but it already appears to have started getting into a couple of people’s hands. If you’re one of the lucky few who has one and you kill it, though, Nikon has released the Nikon Z6 III Repair Manual.

It’s part of a new service the company has launched for DIY repairs. Nikon launched the self-service repair section of its website a couple of months ago, and Nikon seems keen to make sure it stays up-to-date. And that starts with the Nikon Z6 III.

Why the Nikon Z6 III?

I suspect this is because it’s a new camera that’s been announced since Nikon launched the self-service repair website. Along with the announcement of the Z6 III, Nikon has also grown the collection of repair manuals to include a number of other current bodies.

None of these were available when the service launched in May, so it’s nice to see Nikon populating them so quickly. The other camera models added are the Nikon Z30 ($606.95), Nikon Z8 ($3,496.95), Nikon Z9 ($5,496.95), Nikon Zf ($1,996.95) and Nikon Zfc ($1,096.95).

Nikon hasn’t said how it plans to populate the rest of the list in the future, but hopefully, we’ll start to see more coming soon. Assuming they do continue to expand the catalogue of repair manuals and parts to other gear, there’s no telling where Nikon might stop.

Will they just cover their current model products? Just the mirrorless gear? Or will they go all the way back to the early Nikon 35mm SLRs?

Time will tell. But for now, it looks like Nikon at least plans to keep up with new releases.

If you have killed any of the above-mentioned cameras, all you need to do is visit the Nikon website and download the 63.91MB PDF file.
