Adobe Express is a groundbreaking platform for media creation from Adobe’s Creative Cloud.
While Adobe Express was a web-based platform, it’s now also available as a mobile app, and both environments sync automatically. So, you can seamlessly continue the work you did on one device on the other.
The web version and the Adobe Express mobile app contain useful, time-saving AI features. Let’s see how to save time using AI to create your content.
The AI features are located by scrolling down the home page. Alternatively, tap the Plus icon to get started and look for them in the Quick Actions menu.
Text-to-Image
Text-to-image is a generative AI feature that allows you to describe something with a text prompt and receive an AI-generated image.
This has many applications and can save you time and money on your projects.
Imagine you want to develop your design on a moonscape. Well, now you don’t need to build a whole set for this – simply type it into the generative AI feature of Adobe Express mobile, and it will generate different moonscapes for you to choose from.
Perhaps you need to prepare your Christmas sales campaign, but as you know, this has to be done in advance. Maybe the weather is not yet snowy, or the streets aren’t decorated yet.
You don’t have to spend hours looking for the stock photo that fits your specific needs – although you still have access to the thousands of Adobe Stock assets if you want them.
Instead, you can create an entirely new image with all the specifics you need by typing in the description with all the necessary details, and the Adobe Express mobile app will generate it for you.
These are just a few examples of how text-to-image technology will help you save time when creating content with the Adobe Express mobile app.
To use this feature, look for the Text-to-image feature in the home page or the Quick Actions menu. Alternatively, you can start a new project and tap on Generate.
Type a description of what you want in the text window – be as specific as possible. Then, choose the type of content type you prefer. Lastly, tap Generate.
You’ll get the results in seconds. It will give you four variations by default, but you can generate more.
You can browse all the images it generated for you based on your text. Simply select the one you want, and keep on creating!
Generative Fill
Using Generative Fill, you can remove, add, or replace anything from your photo. It may be a stock photo, one uploaded from your device, or one generated with Text-to-image.
This is actually a great way of fine-tuning images generated with AI. However, it can also save you time looking for the specific stock photo that has everything you need or having to produce a brand new photograph.

Using Generative Fill, you can create unique content that’s just right for your project.
Start by selecting your image. Then, tap on Generative Fill and write a description of what you need.
Text-to-Template
Text-to-template works just like Text-to-image, but it creates a complete project that you can edit and make your own.
Start by typing in a description of what you want – it can be an occasion, a topic, a mood, etc. Remember that more details give better results.
Then, select the Canvas size and tap on Generate.
Wait for the results to be delivered. It may give you some variations created by AI and some suggestions from Adobe Stock that fit your description.
The latter shows the Adobe Stock icon in the corner, and they’ll also have a crown if they’re Premium assets.
You can choose the result you like best or tap on ‘See Variations’ to see more options similar to the selected design.
If you don’t like any of the proposals, tap on ‘Generate more results.’
Once you find one that you like, select it and start editing each element to create the ideal design.
Text Effects
You can easily create visually appealing messages for your designs with text effects. Anything you can think of – simply type it in, and the AI from Adobe Firefly integrated into the Adobe Express mobile app will apply it as an effect.
Do you want the word Love made out of rose petals? Or to turn a Happy Birthday sign into balloon letters? Just input the prompt and choose your favorite variation.
This will save you so much time looking for the ideal font or filling text with images in Photoshop. Your text will be as eye-catching as you need them to be.
To use this feature, simply type in your text and select it. Then, type a description of how you want it to look. You can also click on the sample text effects if you want.
Next, customize your preferences with the font, style, tint, etc. Once you’re done, tap on Generate.
Caption Generation
Stop wasting time coming up with the ideal caption for your posts. When you share your creations from the Adobe Express mobile app, you can write the general idea you want to communicate.
Then, tap on Generate. Adobe Express will give you different options such as Generate New Caption, Rewrite, Shorten, or Lengthen. Choose the one you want and let AI do its magic.
The AI-generated caption may also include emojis and hashtags, which is another fantastic time-saver.
