It’s the biggest shopping week of the summer as Amazon readies their servers for Prime Day at midnight on Tuesday morning. The three-day retail epic sees massive discounts and special offers on every category of product they sell. We’re obviously focusing on computer hardware and tech when we bring you deals, and that’s what brings us to HP. Founded in a garage in 1939, they’re approaching a century of producing electronics for all kinds of markets. We review many of their offerings positively, and right now five of our favorites are on sale leading up to tomorrow.
HP makes laptops for everybody, from bargain-bin Chromebooks to amped-up machines like the ZBook Fury. The retail sticker price on this is ridiculously steep, but carving over $3,500 off makes it a little easier to swallow. In our review of the Zbook Fury, it dominated our benchmarking and we said that it was “one of the fastest mobile workstations we’ve tested, complemented by a stellar 4K display and a premium-feeling build.” This configuration ships with an Intel Core i9 13950HX processor clocked at 5.5 GHz, a juicy NVIDIA RTX 3500 12GB GPU, 64GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. It’s a breeze to swap out components as well.

HP’s Omen line of gaming laptops don’t deliver the cutting-edge power necessary to run modern games at 4K, but if you’re cool with 1080p resolution they’re capable performers, especially when you slash $400 off the retail price. The Omen Transcend has a slim metal build and sleek design that brings its weight down to just 3.6 pounds, and the 14″ 120Hz OLED panel is bright and crisp. In our review, we said that it “occupies an uncommon space above entry-level gaming laptops” and praised its build quality and style. This configuration comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.

It’s easy to drop big bucks on a desktop PC, but if you only need a lightweight and fuss-free machine to take care of everyday tasks, you can’t go wrong with the HP Envy. In our review, we called it “a proficient everyday PC, offering excellent productivity performance in an attractive chassis with room for expansion.” A plethora of ports right on the front of the case let you hook up your peripherals, and it’s a breeze to set up. For $500, you get an Intel Core i5-13400 that boosts up to 4.6 GHz with integrated Intel Iris graphics, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD with Windows 11 Home.
All-in-one desktops combine power and convenience, but typically don’t shoot for portability as well. That’s the hook of the Envy Move, which is designed to be lightweight enough that you can tote it from room to room without breaking a sweat. We reviewed this unique all-in-one and likes it a lot, saying that the Envy Move “resurrects the portable all-in-one desktop with a cute design, a carrying handle, a first-class screen and webcam, and a few hours of battery power.” Of special note is the QHD IPS touch screen and top- and front-mounted B&O speakers. This configuration comes with an Intel Core i3-1315U processor with Intel UHD Graphics, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.

We gave an “Excellent” rating to the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw in our review, saying that it delivers, well, “excellent output quality, a small footprint, and ample connectivity.” A 50,000-page rated monthly duty cycle means it’s capable for mid-sized offices, and with a small footprint of 15.1 by 16.6 by 17.1 inches it’s easy to find a spot for. It also boasts tons of connectivity options, including USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac (dual-band) Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. Print speed is excellent, especially for text documents, and running costs are reasonable.
