Amazon Kindle Book Downloads Aren’t Working Right Now

[ad_1]

If your July 4th plans included reading a new book on your Kindle by the pool, you might need to make different arrangements. An ongoing outage is currently preventing Amazon Kindle owners from downloading new and previously purchased books to their e-readers. If you haven’t downloaded that book already, you’re currently SOL.The company is aware of the issue and is working on a fix; however, that fix might take a while.Good e-Reader posted about the problem on Wednesday morning and said it was aware of it and was working on a solution. The company told the site that the issue is server-based, and “it would be at least 48 hours before ebooks started downloading again, but it could be longer.”Currently, the issue only impacts Amazon devices such as the Paperwhite, Oasis, Signature Edition, and the Kindle Basic and not the company’s apps, so if you really want to read that new book, you can download it on your phone and get started in the meantime.
