Amazon’s Best 4th of July Electronics Deals: Save on TVs, Cameras, Tablets and More

[ad_1]

Before you fire up the grill and settle in to watch the fireworks, take some time to do some shopping this 4th of July week. All of the major retailers are bringing the heat this summer with deep discounts on well-reviewed tech. Even though Amazon is gearing up for Prime Day later in the month, they’re still celebrating Independence Day as well with some nice prices. Here are nine of the best deals from Amazon’s 4th of July sale.

Amazon’s Fire tablets definitely don’t stack up to something like an iPad, but at a fraction of the price they’re not expected to. These are purely consumer portables, optimized for casual games, media streaming and Web browsing. We gave it an Editors’ Choice award in our review, saying that it was “the best tablet for less than $150.” For the Fourth, it’s the best tablet under $75. This configuration comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Another half-off deal? That’s spectacular. If you’re worried that summer parties will leave your floors a wreck, there’s no better time to invest in a self-propelled vacuum. Shark’s Ultra Voice Control unit is a reliable and effective model that uses the company’s Matrix Clean technology to develop detailed maps of your home and vacuum them thoroughly with efficient overlapping passes. The self-emptying base holds up to 60 days of dirt, and the self-cleaning brushroll picks up pet hair and disposes of it. See how it compares on our list of the best robot vacuums.

More and more content is being streamed and broadcast in ultra-high resolution, and if you want to enjoy your favorite shows and movies the way their creators intended, it’s time to invest in a 4K TV. You don’t have to spend a ton to get one, either. The budget-friendly Insignia brand has a solid performer in their F30 series, with a wide viewing angle and decent reflection handling. It’s missing some of the more advanced upscaling features you’d get from a more expensive model, but low input lag makes it good for gaming and you can’t beat the price, especially at 37% off. Buying a printer is always a bit of a gamble, because no matter how cheap you get the hardware for, you have to figure in the cost of ink refills to run it. Thankfully, this compact and versatile HP model is bargain on both fronts. In our review of the Smart-Tank Plus 651, we said that it “prints well at very low running costs, along with the added bonus of taking up very little space.” The included ink gives you up to 8,000 color pages or 6,000 black pages before you need to replace it, and it’s simple to refill. It’s not great for high volumes, but for most home uses it’ll more than suffice.

No matter how much bandwidth you get, you still need more. Streaming in high definition and gaming with low ping require you to squeeze out every bit of your ISP’s juice, but if you’re not pushing that through a current-gen router you’re leaving performance on the table. We gave an Editor’s Choice award to the TP-Link AX3000 in our review, saying that it “finds the sweet spot between high-end and budget-class models. It offers the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology and delivered solid speeds on our throughput tests.” At 33% off, it’s an even better bargain.

We gave an Editors’ Choice award to this internal SSD in our review, saying that the Samsung 990 EVO was “moderately priced and energy-efficient, has advanced security features, and includes the Samsung Magician suite of SSD optimization tools.” This is a high-quality internal drive that hits a great balance between speed and security, with support for AES 256-bit full-disk hardware encryption and a rated max sequential read speed of 5000 MBps. We wouldn’t expect this one to stay in stock for long, so pick it up quick.

We’re big fans of Amazon’s Blink line of network security cameras, because they’re simple to install and capture clear, sharp video with a nice wide 143-degree viewing angle. These don’t support night vision, so you’ll have to pair it with motion lights to capture nocturnal visitors. In our review, we gave it an “Excellent” rating and praised its long battery life and options to store video either locally or in the cloud. This is a tremendous deal on a four-pack of the outdoor units, letting you take them home for a little over $30 each.

Having a curved gaming monitor is the natural next step in PC gaming. It’s just a totally different way of experiencing the digital world, with the curvature of the screen mimicking the curvature of your eye for a more natural visual experience. Samsung consistently makes some of the best displays in the consumer space, and the Odyssey G93SC is no exception. We gave it an Editors’ Choice award in our review, saying that it was “the ultrawide monitor to beat for immersive PC gaming.” Getting $500 off is a huge deal.

Sick of staring at a glowing screen and getting eyestrail? Think about picking up a Kindle Scribe. Boasting a soft, non-reflective e-ink display that’s as easy to read as paper, it’s a robust and well-built tablet with lots of perks. In our review, we had great things to say about the Kindle Scribe’s responsive screen, saying it was “the biggest and most attractive ebook reader we’ve seen yet.” This bundle includes a 64GB Scribe, leather folio cover and Amazon Premium Pen 2 for precise input. Get everything together for 37% off the total price.Need even more savings this holiday week? Check out our complete deals page.
