Flower Beauty Ultralight Liquid Blush ($14.50) is a new liquid gel blush that launched for Spring 2024 in five shades. Yeah, it does have that Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand or Tarte Blush Tape Liquid Blush deal going on with the squeeze tube and sponge applicator but trust me, this is a bit of a different formula in my opinion!
I picked up one of the Flower Beauty Ultralight Liquid Blush shades during a recent Ulta haul and I must say I’m loving it. I’ll go ahead and address the elephant in the room and say they intentionally packaged this the way they did to garner attention. I see you Flower Beauty! I know! Charlotte’s Beauty Light Wands are incredibly popular and had a viral moment for a while (and in some ways are still enjoying that) so, of course, we’re going to see this and think OMG CHARLOTTE DUPE. Not the case though! Anyone who tells you this is a dupe for Charlotte’s version is lying. And you know what? It’s a great product without having the same formulas as Beauty Light Wands! It’s way more natural and pretty in my opinion with a lot less metallic glow you get from the CT ones.
As I said they are packaged similarly to the CT ones and arrive in a squeeze tube that switches on and off with a twist of the sponge head. It’s a simple squeeze to release the product into the sponge, dab on, and blend. It’s $14.50 for 0.47 oz of blush which is compared to Charlotte Tilbury’s version at 0.40 oz for $42 and Tarte’s version at $36 for 0.40 oz. As I said, the Flower Beauty Ultralight Liquid Blush isn’t like those two but comparing the prices and size it is a nice little bargain blush.
The main difference between this formula and others would be the texture. I find this formula a bit thinner and a lot lighter. It’s a super lightweight gel! It’s refreshing on the skin, feels very hydrating, almost serum-like not sticky nor tacky, and just blends so easily. The second difference between the formulas is the shade I got had absolutely no glow. I got the shade Peachy which is a nude peach and it didn’t have any of the shimmer, glow, or metallic finish that CT’s version has (and yeah, even Tarte’s version has a bit of a glow). This is just a very natural, beautiful tint. It’s also highly buildable. I didn’t feel like I’d get clown cheeks if I had to heavy a hand during application. It was just a natural, beautiful tint. The fact that it doesn’t have any weird crazy glow to it is refreshing because it’s easy enough to use your favorite highlighter on top of it should you like.
The wear is beautiful as well! It’s not only lightweight, doesn’t cling to drier areas, and likely won’t accentuate pores but it also has a long wear. I’ve been using a few days and I get about 10 hours of wear out of it without it fading. I felt like I was wearing a stain! It just didn’t budge or fade!
Flower Beauty Ultralight Liquid Blush is a cute little pick! I’d highly recommend grabbing one (or more) of these if you have drier skin and want a light, refreshing blush or just like a more natural look! Love this formula!
