I randomly purchased Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser on a recent trip to Sephora. I went in to repurchase Youth To The People Superfood Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser! It’s fantastic stuff and obviously, the rest of the world knows it because it was out of stock. I had no plans to get anything else but I started taking a long romantic stroll (as one does when you go to Sephora) around the aisles and hit up the Glow Recipe section. I realize not everyone is a fan of Glow Recipe but I swear by some of the products, especially Plum Plump!
I had no plans to stray from Youth to the People but I came across the Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser and was like, “eh ok let’s try it out!” I don’t love foaming facial cleansers lately but sometimes I’ll hit on one that doesn’t make my skin tight or dry and this is one formula that doesn’t.
They market this as a gentle cleanser with ceramides, avocado oil, hyaluronic acid, and colloidal oatmeal that can be used for all skin types. It’s a gel cream cleaner that creates a light lather. I am beyond pleased with this. I rarely change how I cleanse my skin in my old age. I stick to the products that work for me and try not to switch around too much from them. Sure, I love to try new skincare but I do try to be consistent with what I use daily. This won me over. It is indeed gentle, doesn’t leave me tight, nor dry, and works great in a second cleanse.
I use Fancl Cleansing as the first step in my cleanse and I follow up with as the second part. I wouldn’t say it leaves my skin hydrated but it doesn’t dry my skin out or make it tight which is all I want from a cleanser. I would 100% purchase this again! I’m really happy with the way it’s working out for me.
