Microsoft Is Bringing the Windows 11 Weather Experience to Windows 10

[ad_1]

Windows 10 users are about to get a richer weather experience on the lock screen.A new Windows 10 preview build is currently rolling out to Insiders in the Release Preview Channel. The update includes dynamic, interactive weather updates. When you hover over the weather on your lock screen, for instance, you will see more information about what the weather has in store for the day.If you’re signed in, Microsoft Edge will open with the full forecast in MSN Weather. The experience will be on by default unless your Lock Screen status is set to “None.”Windows Central notes that Windows 10 still has around 1 billion active devices in circulation, substantially more than the 400 million devices using Windows 11, so it’s not entirely surprising that Microsoft would consider bringing the feature to Windows 10 as well.Along with the weather feature, Windows 10 Build 19045.3992 also adds a feature for eye control system settings which allows you to back up settings from a former device while you set up a new device and then automatically install them on your new device. The build also includes a number of bug fixes.

While Microsoft had previously claimed it was done updating Windows 10, in November, it announced plans to bring its Copilot AI to Windows 10 as well. Microsoft’s end-of-support date for Windows 10 is currently scheduled for October 14, 2025, though extended support will be available for a fee.
