Last night we had a storm in New York. Gusty winds, hail, rain, trees and power lines down, fun times were had by all (not really!). April Showers Bring May Flowers but no one said anything about wind gusts up to 80 mph. I remember as a kid growing up New York once April hit we knew Spring was here. The weather wasn’t super warm but it was mild and we could be play outside again and enjoy the first warmth of good weather after a long Winter’s rest. It hasn’t been like that in years now. The weather doesn’t truly warm up till July!
But Spring is here and the makeup world hasn’t taken a break just because we got poor weather! This Spring it feels like we have quite a few exciting launches from a variety of brands! I’m seeing a lot of serum-like and tinted foundations for more natural looks, shiny lipsticks, and lots of softer looks for the warmer weather (whenever it decides to get here).
