How I Tested Nik Collection 7
Nik Collection 7 performs exceptionally well across all its included plugins.
For this review, I ran the plugins on a Windows 10 PC running an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G graphics card with 32GB of RAM.
Images were displayed through a Samsung 4K monitor, which has been calibrated using the Spyder X Pro calibration device.
Photographs were shot in Raw mode using a Sony A7III with a 35mm native prime lens, with test images ranging from landscape and wildlife to family portraits.
Each plugin in the collection was fully tested, using presets and their subcategories as starting points, as well as related tools.
Additional adjustments were made using the platform’s brush tool, and bracketed images were used to assess its HDR and tone mapping capabilities.

The Silver Efex plugin’s reputation is well deserved, and I’ll be incorporating it into my black-and-white landscape photography in the future.
