OnePlus has launched the next generation flagship smartphone, OnePlus 12 via a grand on-ground event in Delhi today. Titled ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’, the event showcased the launch of the next-generation OnePlus 12, along with the affordable OnePlus 12R and next-generation audio device OnePlus Buds 3. For smartphones, OnePlus has continued its association with Hasselblad. All the newly launched devices aim to offer an even better experience as they are packed with top-quality features and an even better design.

OnePlus 12 5G: Design & Features

OnePlus has not introduced any major design changes to the OnePlus 12 when we compare it to its predecessor. Its dimensions are 164.3×75.8×9.15mm and it weighs 220 grams. The device comes in Flowy Emerald and Silky Black shades and runs OxygenOS-based Android 14 out of the box. The OnePlus 12 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with Adreno 750 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

OnePlus 12 sports a 6.82-inch ProXDR LTPO AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 3168×1440 pixel resolution, 4500 nits brightness, DCI-P3 color gamut, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The display offers additional features like eye comfort, screen color mode, manual brightness, night mode, and more.

In terms of camera optics, there is a triple lens 4th generation hasselblad camera system including a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 64MP periscope telephoto lens. At the front is a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The main 50MP camera supports EIS and OIS both. Under the hood is a massive 5400mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC wired and 50W wireless fast charging capability.

Connectivity options include a USB-Type C port, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and much more. There is a haptic motor as well for better gaming performance.

OnePlus 12R: Specs

OnePlus 12R is an affordable option for those who can’t afford the premium OnePlus 12 smartphone. It comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO ProXDR AMOLED panel equipped with 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, 4500 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 onboard storage.

At the back is a triple camera setup including a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro sensor, while the front sports a 16MP snapper for selfies. Under the hood is a 5500mAh battery to power the device with rapid 100W SuperVOOC wired fast charging capability.

OnePlus Buds 3

The third-generation TWS buds have also been launched alongside the two smartphones. OnePlus Buds 3 comes with a 10.4mm composite diaphragm bass unit which will give a high-quality audio experience with clear highs and deep bass. The latest buds come with 49dB active noise cancellation and can remove background noise efficiently to offer a better audio experience.

OnePlus Buds 3 comes with LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res support and a wireless speed of 1Mbps. Buds also offer custom game sound effects, low 94ms low latency, and an immersive audio experience. Battery is where things have gotten even better. Buds will this time ensure 44 hours of usage with ANC turned off. A quick 10-minute charging claims to offer 7 hours of playback time. The OnePlus Buds 3 feature an IP55 rating making them suitable for dust and water protection. For seamless connectivity, the buds will use Bluetooth 5.3.
