Xiaomi has introduced its latest camera-centric affordable flagship smartphone – the new Xiaomi 14 Civi. Xiaomi’s 14 Civi is a rebranded version of the Civi 4 Pro, which was recently launched in China. Xiaomi’s latest phone comes with an interesting set of features, making it the best option available at this price point.
Like other Civi models, Xiaomi’s 14 Civi also comes with a 32MP dual selfie camera setup with 4K 30fps video recording capabilities. Xiaomi has collaborated with a professional camera maker brand Leica to achieve exceptional camera performance. The 50MP Light Hunter 800 main camera with OIS paired with a 12MP ultrawide shooter with a 120° FoV and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x telephoto zoom support.
The Xiaomi 14 Civi is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It boasts a 4,700mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t support wireless charging. The device runs on Xiaomi’s Hyper OS based on Android 14 out of the box. Xiaomi also promises three major Android updates (up to Android 17) and four years of security patches.
The flagship smartphone has a stunning 6.55-inch 1.5K (2,750 x 1,236px) quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. There’s a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on top, protecting it from accidental falls and scratches. As for dimensions, the smartphone measures just 7.45mm thick.
Xiaomi also introduced impressive AI features on the 14 Civi, including AI Photo, AI Album, AI Erase, AI Expansion, Real-time subtitles, AI summary, AI input assistant, and AI picture creation.
The Xiaomi 14 Civi starts at Rs 42,999 ($515) for the base 8GB + 256GB variant and the high-end 12GB + 512GB variant retails at Rs 47,999 ($575). Xiaomi offers three beautiful color options for the 14 Civi: Matcha Green, Shadow Black, and Cruise Blue.
The smartphone is now available for preorder and open sales will begin from June 20, 2024 via Xiaomi’s official website and other authorized retailers.
