If you wish someone a Happy New Year on Threads, it might come with a little pizzazz.Mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi posted a screenshot this afternoon showing a new special effect feature he discovered for Threads. In a post originally spotted by The Verge, Paluzzi posted a “Best wishes for the new year” message that then turned red and included a festive icon.Trying it out ourselves didn’t workaday; however, it’s possible the feature is something Threads is test driving with plans to launch it closer to the new year when it will be used.
