The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its Ultra smartphone. Carrying the moniker “Xiaomi 14 Ultra,” the smartphone will ship with top-tier specifications, focusing mainly on the professional-grade camera. Ahead of the launch, a tipster has hinted that the phone could arrive with an optional camera kit.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s Professional Camera Kit Appears On 3C Certification Site
On the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station posted screenshots of the 3C listing of a Xiaomi 14 Ultra accessory. The images appear to be of the wireless professional camera kit that the company should sell separately. Per the listing, the model number of the kit is “2402CPS69C.”
The 3C listing also suggests that the wireless professional camera kit will come with a maximum output of 1,500 mAh at 5V, indicating that it might also double as a portable battery. Further, the first four digits of the model number suggest that the device and the phone could launch in February 2024.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra Also Came With A Camera Kit
It is important to mention that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra arrived with a camera kit. The company priced it at CNY 999, or about Rs. 11,500, which helped enthusiasts convert the smartphone into a professional camera. It included a lens cover, a camera grip, a case, and a 67mm adapter ring. However, the kit never launched outside the company’s native market.
The 3C listing clarifies Xiaomi’s plans with the smartphone. Like last year, the company will position the Xiaomi 14 Ultra as an enthusiast device, with accessories that will take mobile photography to the next level. However, whether the company will release the smartphone globally, along with the professional camera kit, is yet to be seen.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra Expected Specifications
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is touted to come with a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it should run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the same processor that powers all the AI-based features on the Galaxy S24 series. Further, the Ultra handset could come with four 50MP cameras, with the Sony LYT900 as the primary sensor. Recently, the handset also appeared on BIS and Geekbench.
